Ask three different neighbors when Lake Nona West opened and you'll get three different answers, because for the better part of a year, it actually has. Sephora and JETSET Pilates were announced back in December 2025. Spring coverage had Homesense penciled in for mid-May, Barnes & Noble for mid-June, Total Wine & More a week after that. What's still pending is almost entirely the layer people got excited about when the tenant list first leaked, the salon, the beauty counter, the boutique fitness studio, the standalone Mexican restaurant with a Las Vegas pedigree. Of everything still pending, Nordstrom Rack is the only one with a hard date on the books: September 24, less than two weeks from now, confirmed directly on the retailer's own store locator. Everything else on the pending list, including Cañonita, is still sitting on a "late 2026" or unspecified timeline. Lake Nona West's public art program is being led by Chalk & Brush, a Miami studio founded by Cuban-born artist Cinthia "Cynno" Santos, and at 30 murals it's the studio's largest installation to date. One piece, a "Greetings from Lake Nona West" mural visible from the boulevard, folds in references longtime residents will recognize on sight, including The Glass House and the community's mascot dog, Disco.
